About Panenka
One line
Panenka is an iPhone app for live football scores and goal alerts, with no ads, no betting and no sign-up.
Short
Panenka covers more than 50 competitions, from the Premier League and Süper Lig to the Champions League and the Copa Libertadores. Follow a club and its goals reach your lock screen as they happen; if VAR rules one out, the alert is replaced. Each match has lineups on a pitch with player ratings, a timeline with the moment of the match, stats and a preview of who's missing. There are no ads or betting promotions, no account, and no tracking.
Long
Most football apps are built around what happens between the goals: banners, odds, sign-up walls. Panenka takes the opposite approach. It opens straight to the day's matches across more than 50 competitions and leaves out everything that isn't football.
Its centre is the goal alert. Follow a club or star a match, and lineups, goals, red cards and results arrive on your lock screen with the full scoreline. When a goal is disallowed, Panenka sends a correction that replaces the original banner, so a score that didn't stand never sits on your phone.
Before kick-off there's an alert when the lineups are out, a list of who's missing and the head-to-head. During and after the match: lineups in formation with player ratings, a timeline that marks the moment of the match, and side-by-side stats including expected goals. League tables, form, the scorer, assist and card races, and a page for every club fill out the rest. Following a club is optional; the whole matchday is there without it.
Panenka has no ads, no analytics and no account. The only permission it asks for is notifications, at the moment you follow something.
The name
In the 1976 European Championship final, Antonín Panenka of Czechoslovakia decided the shoot-out against West Germany by chipping his penalty softly down the middle while the goalkeeper dived away. The chipped penalty has carried his name ever since.
Panenka the app is not affiliated with Antonín Panenka.

- Write the name as Panenka. The capitals in the logo are drawn artwork, not a spelling.
- Use the files above as they are. Don't recolour the ball, set the wordmark in a font, or add effects.
- Below 24 px, use the crest on its own without the wordmark. The crest's minimum size is 16 px.
- Keep clear space around the lockup at least four times the height of the cut band in the wordmark.
- Screenshots of the app are welcome in coverage. Team crests and competition logos in them belong to their owners.
